It’s that time of the year again. Classic bebop, nuevo tango, jazz fusion and swing. The International Jazz Festival in Buenos Aires is celebrated over the next days. The festival has been celebrated every year since 2008 and is host to international talent as well as local artists.
On Tuesday 10 November the BA International Jazz Festival kicked off in Usina del Arte with the Peter Bernstein Quartat.
The line-up includes a high dose of avant garde jazz, with Satoko Fujii and her quartat Tobira, Camila Meza, also a night dedicated to new Israeli jazz and a night dedicated to European jazz. The European night features the Italian duo Furio Di Castri and Antonello Salis, the French pianist Manuel Rocheman and the Austrian trio Mario Rom’s Interzone.
Tickets for shows range from ARS 50 to ARS 250. You can get tickets at Teatro Colón and Tu Entrada.
