Anti-Stress Cabins Make Premier in Buenos Aires
According to some studies, almost half of all employees in Argentina suffer from stress in the workplace. While it is true, and possibly helpful, that Buenos Aires has the most psychologists per capita in the world, many still struggle with stressful feelings, but there is a new idea popping up around the city to combat these feelings: anti-stress cabins.
Created by of Buenos Aires’ Pets of the City division, the cabins relieve commuters´ stress by providing them with a space to enjoy the company of puppies and kittens while canceling out any unwanted noise from the busy streets around them. The objective was not simply to lower city dweller’s stress levels, but to raise awareness about pet adoption in the city and to give our furry friends a chance to find a new home.
While the cabins did not last long in the Palermo area of Buenos Aires, they were enough of a hit amongst some locals that their presence might make a comeback in the near future, providing puppies and porteños alike with a sense of relief.
