Donald Trump Makes Trade Changes with Argentina

Donald Trump had made some trade changes with Argentina, in which he prohibited lemon imports from Argentina.
This restriction will last for 60 days. Ironically, this change was made just a month after the US Congress authorized citric shipments from Argentina.

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced the restriction of Argentinian lemons after the newly inaugurated president asserted the importance of American products.

Argentina is the main producer of lemons for the globe, and had just recently been given access to exporting to North American market.

Argentina waits to see if the restriction will just be for the projected three months, or if it will be prolonged for a longer period of time.

The country was prepared to export 20,000 tons of lemons, with a value of $50 million. Needless to say that this new restriction is a blow to Argentina´s trade.
