Argentine labour leader Hugo Moyano has criticized President´s Mauricio Macri´s government heavily. Moyano said that “you must take things as they come. He has no political experience, and that makes you make those kinds of mistakes, but at this stage, it’s not surprising, and a lot less considering what is happening and without giving answers.” Moyano insisted unions in Buenos Aires may launch a national strike in the next coming days, because “everyone knew the economic situation left by the previous government was complex, with a complex social scene. The President of Argentina, Mauricio Macri, is named in the Panama Papers in which he was listed as director of an offshore company in the Bahamas. During a television broadcast, Macri vowed that he had done nothing wrong and stated that he was telling the truth. Moreover, Macri said that he will pledge not guilty when he has to appear for a federal prosecutor. Macri claims that he had no shares in the offshore company and he never received any income from it.
In 2007 Macri became mayor of Buenos Aires and he did not list the offshore company in his 2007 financial declaration. (more…)
Techno festival Time Warp in Buenos Aires turned into a disaster after six people died from a drug overdose last Friday night. Four other people remain in a critical condition in the hospital. All dead victims are men and aged between 21 and 25. The victims reportedly collapsed on site and many of them suffered from convulsions, cardiac arrhythmia and with extremely high body temperatures.

Buenos Aires has a lot of parks around the whole city; the porteños (inhabitants) love to go to these parks. They are going to the parks to sit, relax and drink a mate, but the parks are also used for sports.
In these parks many sports are done like running, playing football, doing yoga and many other sports. These sports are all for free, but besides this in Buenos Aires they invented this perfect idea to put instead of a playground an aerobic station. (more…)
Since the 13th of April, 2016, Uber is launched in Buenos Aires. Uber is an application which can be used to submit a trip request and get transportation for a lower price than the regular taxis in Buenos Aires.
As to be expected, the taxi unions from Buenos Aires are not happy. On Friday April 15th, there was a big anti Uber protest in Buenos Aires that started at 10.00. Drivers announced there would be roadblocks throughout the city in at least 26 different points. (more…)
The inflation rate for Argentina in 2016 was forecasted to be 25%. President Mauricio Macri’s administration acknowledged that inflation will probably go beyond the predicted ceiling of 25%.
Despite this confession, he says the percentage can still change as the months pass, like any inflation. But there doesn´t seem to be much hope with the increasing price in gas and water of 300% and the increasing price of public transportation of 100% since April. (more…)
The minister of Transport, Guillermo Dietrich, has confirmed that the rumors about the prices of the public transport in Buenos Airesare true. The fares for the busses and trains in Buenos Aires city will increase with 100%. The start date of the increase of these fares is the 8th of April 2016. The minimum price of a bus ride used to be 3ARS pesos, from the 8th of April on it will be 6ARS pesos. Train tickets will rise from 2ARS pesos to 4ARS pesos. These are the minimum fares, the price of the trip will rise with the distance.
