This last weekend on Friday the 17th of April and Saturday the 18th of April, it was time for a huge techno party in Buenos Aires! Many national and international well-known DJ’s spin their music and make the crowd dance and jump their asses off!
Last year, Time Warp Argentina was first introduced and this year it was organized for the second time. Just as the first edition, the second edition of the originally German festival was held at Centro Costa Salguero in the city of Buenos Aires.

The first edition of the “Masticar” fair, an exhibition of the best Argentine chefs, exceeded everyone’s expectations. More than 40.000 people walked through the center of exhibitions “Plaza Dorrego” in Buenos Aires for 3 days where they all enjoyed the best local food of Argentina.
The fair “Masticar Buenos Aires” was createded to promote the Argentine cuisine and raised awareness about the benefits of cooking healthy and was organized by the group Acelga (Asociación de Cocineros y Empresarios Ligados a la Gastronomía Argentina). (more…)
The Buenos Aires Food Week has started today Monday April 13th! During this biannual event, quality restaurants from all over the city of Buenos Aires offer great discounts. Approximately 40 restaurants participate in this event for the upcoming two weeks. The menus will contain a starter, main dish and dessert. You will have two or three options to choose from.

Recently in Buenos Aires, there is a new rent-a-bike services at automatic stations. This service is free and functions 24 hours, every day of the week.
People who want to use a bike in Buenos Aires can unlock the bikes with a special card or by mobile phone.
The card is called “En todo estás vos”. You can rent the bike for one hour.
Some examples of stations are Facultad de Derecho, Retiro, Plaza Roma, Parque Lezama, Obelisco, Parque Las Heras, Tribunales y Plaza San Martín. (more…)
During the celebration of this year’s Easter, the biggest Easter bread braid or ‘la trenza de Pascua’ of the country was made in Buenos Aires. On Saturday (the 4th of April), the public was allowed to come and see the braid on Avenida de Mayo, from Bolivar till Chacabuco. The event was organized by the Ministry of Culture Porteño, the Confectionery House of the Association of Hotels, Restaurants, Confectionery and Cafés (AHRCC) and the bakers union.
The braid had a length of 150 meter and 24 centimeter wide which was a new record as well. Everybody that wanted to taste, could buy a portion for 20 pesos. (more…)
Buenos Aires is the big surprise in the annual voting of cities to visit on the website of Trip Advisor this year.
The capital of Argentina changed its 14th spot to a well-deserved 8th. The tourists have spoken and place the city ahead of others such as New York and close to cities as Rome or London.
The top 10 is led by the Moroccan city Marrakech and Buenos Aires is the only Latin American destination in the top 10 ranking. (more…)
Last Sunday, the 29th of March, there was a very large outdoor event in Buenos Aires only women were allowed to participate in. The ‘Chicas en Rollers’ event in the neighbourhood of Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires attracted more than 4.000 women with ages ranging from 14 to 50 years old. This event was organised by “Farmacity”, the pharmaceutical chain of Argentina. The day started at 09.00 in the morning with the race which consists of two alternatives; one of 14 kilometres and the other one of 10 km. The race took off at Parque Micaela Bastidas and crossed the following streets; Lanteri, Vera Peñaloza, Av. Achával Rodríguez (more…)
As a result of the national Buenos Aires strike in Argentina, tomorrow, some services will not function or only under “emergency routes”.
The bid for income taxes is under the media spotlight again: the businesses require a modification in the tax allowance, while the #Argentine government defends the amount allocated and not evaluated – for the moment – to raise the buffer to pay this tax.
Given this situation, the businesses that are not refined by the Government ratified a strike tomorrow. Therefore, several services will be affected. (more…)
