Since Sube cards are the only way to pay for public transportation in Buenos Aires, people who had forgotten theirs or simply didn’t have one, could not pay for a trip and had to find a kiosko somewhere nearby, to first buy one.
But now there is good news! Because Subte stations are now selling Sube cards themselves. So no running away to hunt for a sube card near by!
Less good news is that somewhere in June or July prices will increase from AR $4.50 to AR $7.50. Originally, the price increase was programmed for June 1st.
