Netflix Orders First Original Series from Argentina

Netflix has ordered its very first original series from Argentina, the dramatic thriller “Edha”. The series is created and directed by Daniel Burman, a well-known director in the New Argentine Cinema (“Lost Embrace”, “Empty Nest”). Edha is filmed entirely in Argentina and the production will start shooting in Buenos Aires early next year. The series will be released in 2017.

Edha is a dramatic thriller which is described by the writers and Netflix as “a story of dark secrets and overpowering attractions”. The main character is Edha, who is a young fashion designer and single mother. (more…)
