On 25 October Argentina went to vote for their new president. Opinion polls suggested that Scioli would win the first round, but after a surprisingly strong performance by Macri, the people of Argentina have to vote again on the 22nd of November.
Scioli ended up with 36,86% of all the votes, while Macri ended up with 34,33% of the votes. To win the presidency in the first round, a person should have 45% of the votes or between 40% and 45% and a 10% lead over the nearest rival. (more…)
