University Buenos Aires Ranked in Top Ten South America
This year´s 2018 QS Latin American Survey has, for the first time, ranked the University of Buenos Aires as one of the top ten universities in South America. The prestigious list ranked the University of Buenos Aires as 75th in the world earlier this year and has steadily rated the university more positively with each successive year since 2014.
QS, or Quacquarelli Symonds, the British company who has specialized in educational rankings since 1990, uses five criterion when making their determination: employability among graduates, research impact, and productivity (more…)
University Buenos Aires continues to flourish
The University of Buenos Aires (UBA) was founded in 1821, just five years after Argentina gained Independence from Spain. Ever since, it has grown into a well-known institution and the biggest university in Latin America.
The institution was founded on August 12th, 1821 in a time when Argentina was just beginning to grow into the beautiful country it is today. The Vice-Dean of UBA´s Faculty of Social Sciences commented to the Herald, ´´We should highlight that the University was founded at a time when there was practically no country. There´s this generalized idea that our country was already established as such by 1816, but the truth is that back then Argentina was still being built.´´ (more…)
The University of Buenos Aires, or UBA, is ranked the best university of Latin-America. The study was done worldwide and included 891 universities. Out of these 891 universities, UBA was ranked 124th. UBA ended up better than last year, when it was ranked 198tb worldwide.
The university of Buenos Aires is the largest university in Argentina. UBA consist out of 13 departments, 10 museums and 6 hospitals. It is a public university and therefor open and free for everyone (including foreigners). (more…)
