The excellent location and friendly staff make Casa Esmerelda a terrific destination for those looking for a cheap, but quality stay in Buenos Aires.

Each bedroom is decorated by a different local designer, but some are somewhat miniature. The house is located in stylish Palermo Viejo and not far from local amenities. Creaky wooden stairs lined with lit candles lead up to the rooms on the second floor. One room called ‘Chiqui’ has a twin bed and a bath, while ‘Victoria’ is dominated by an impressive glass chandelier and wall hangings. The owner Rodrigo is a very charismatic individual and is an old hand at travelling. For this reason, he is always available to give out friendly travel advice and inside info on what to see whilst in Buenos Aires. The price of your stay also includes free internet.

The name of the hotel hails from the words of a book by journalist David Brooks ‘Bobos in Paradise’, a book about the emerging class of “bourgeois bohemians”.
